It is without disputation that anyone seeking legal representation and practicing due diligence in consideration of a particular attorney, lawyer or law firm is at a tremendous disadvantage whereas the advertising and social media landscape is dominated by legal directories offering generic information or that of legal trade publications who create fictious award categories to sell and market awards and prestige titles that obscure the actual legal competence and credentials and credibility of a given party.

It is a chronic problem with attorneys, lawyers and law firms that has prompted the Federal Trade Commission to issue a public advisory with regard to "Vanity Awards" and "Pay to Play" Badges.

If you suddenly need to hire a lawyer, you might start searching online. When you do, you’re likely to see lawyers and law firms with fancy-looking seals and badges on their websites claiming they’re among the best in their field. 

Before you move forward, know that some of these seals or badges might be “vanity” or “ego” awards that lawyers can buy. 

In consideration of the F..T.C. advisory and that of the subject of Anthony R. Friedman d/b/a Friedman Law Firm LLC who is offering legal services to the public for consideration it is only prudent with regard to a public interest and consumer advocacy point of view to provide both the neutral and counter-narrative for a balance consideration and therein is the purpose of this website.
